Derek Morey

Derek Morey has a diverse background in engineering and management roles. Derek is currently the Engineering Manager for Advanced Decorative Systems in North America, where they have been since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Technical Engineering Manager for the same company from October 2018 to January 2022.

Before joining Advanced Decorative Systems, Derek worked as a Tooling Engineer at Brose Group from December 2017 to October 2018. Derek had similar responsibilities as a Tooling Engineer at Continental Structural Plastics from September 2015 to November 2017. In this role, they managed new and existing tooling for the automotive compression and injection molding body panel industry.

Derek's earlier experience includes working as an Engineering Support in the Advanced Tooling Engineering & Prototype Services Group at BAE Industries from June 2010 to September 2015. Here, they oversaw the design, build, and implementation of production tools, as well as resolving manufacturing defect issues and ensuring high-quality standards.

Derek started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Dana Holding Corporation from June 2009 to June 2010.

Derek Morey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University. The specific years in which they pursued their education are unavailable.
