Mark D. Kaufmann M.D.

Mark D. Kaufmann MD has extensive work experience in the field of dermatology. Mark D. is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery since September 2020. In addition, they hold the position of Immediate Past President at the American Academy of Dermatology since March 2023, after serving as the President from March 2022 to March 2023. Dr. Kaufmann has been affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since January 1995, where they hold the role of Clinical Professor. Previously, they worked as the Chief Medical Officer at The Derm Group from March 2018 to August 2020. Dr. Kaufmann began their career as a Dermatologist at MK Dermatology in December 1994 before ending their tenure in August 2020.

Mark D. Kaufmann MD completed their education at two prestigious institutions. From 1981 to 1984, they attended New York University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History. Following this, they pursued their medical studies at the NYU School of Medicine, Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, from 1984 to 1988, ultimately obtaining their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

In addition to their educational background, Dr. Kaufmann also holds a certification in Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology, which they obtained in November 1992.
