Mark Leaver has a strong background in electrical engineering and motor drives development. Mark started their career at Black & Decker as a Research Engineer from September 2002 to August 2006. Mark then joined Dyson, where they held various roles such as Motor Drives Engineer, Senior Motor Drives Engineer, Motor Drives Technical Lead, Motor Drives Development Manager, and Engineering Manager - Motor and Power Systems from February 2007 to February 2023. In February 2023, they became the Chief Development Engineer at Advanced Electric Machines.
Mark Leaver completed their education at Newcastle University, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from 1998 to 2002. Mark further pursued their studies at the same university and obtained an Engineering Doctorate in Power Electronics, Drives and Machines from 2002 to 2010. Prior to their university education, Mark attended Chepstow Comprehensive School from 1991 to 1998, where they completed their GCSEs and A-levels.
