John Newbury

John Newbury has a strong background in product management and marketing within the construction industry. John most recently served as the Director of Product Management at Advanced since 2023. Prior to this, they held positions such as Product Innovation Director and Product Manager at Ramtech Electronics Limited from 2016 to 2023. Before that, they were a Senior Product Manager at British Gypsum from 2012 to 2016 and a Marketing Manager at tremco illbruck group from 2006 to 2012. John started their career as a Market Development Manager at Tyco Water Pty Ltd from 2001 to 2006 and as a Product Manager at Saint-Gobain from 1999 to 2001.

John Newbury obtained a BSc Hons in Metallurgy from The University of Manchester between 1996 and 1999. John then pursued an MSc in Marketing Management from Sheffield Hallam University, completing it from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their degrees, they have acquired certifications such as Associate Member from AIPMM The Association of International Product Marketing and Management, MIET from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Certificate of IoT Product Management from Daniel Elizalde LLC. John also holds a Level 3 Electrical Installations BS7671: 2008 (2015) certification from City & Guilds.
