Bec Alderson

Bec Alderson has extensive experience in renewable energy consultancy, currently serving as Renewable Energy Consultant II at Advanced Energy since July 2021, following a role as Renewable Energy Consultant I. Previous experience includes leadership and teamwork roles within the Structures team at SolarPack @ NC State from September 2017 to May 2021. Alderson gained practical engineering experience through multiple co-op positions with Duke Energy Corporation, focusing on line engineering and substation engineering from early 2019 to August 2020. Early career experience includes a purchasing internship at GKN Driveline and various roles at Hawk Hill Berry Farm and Camp Chestnut Ridge. Alderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2016 to 2020, and attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 2014 to 2016, following studies at Cedar Ridge High School from 2012 to 2014.
