Rafael Eduardo Barreras Astorga

Rafael Eduardo Barreras Astorga has a diverse range of work experience. Rafael Eduardo started their career at Honeywell Aerospace de Mexico as a Product Engineer, manufacturing various products with welding, machining, and heat treatment processes. Rafael Eduardo then worked at Robert Bosch de Mexico as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for different manufacturing processes. After that, they joined MTE Corporation as an OpEx- Manufacturing Engineer, specializing in power quality filters and reactors. From there, they moved to ACCURIDE International S.A. de C.V. as a Manufacturing Engineer, providing technical support for fabrication and assembly lines. Rafael Eduardo then worked at TECHNIMARK Mexicali as a Continuous Improvement Coordinator, leading lean-six sigma projects and contributing to cost-saving strategies. Currently, they are working at Advanced Energy as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, overseeing industrial product reverse engineering and manufacturing improvements, among other responsibilities.

Rafael Eduardo Barreras Astorga completed a Certificate in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2022-2023. Rafael Eduardo earned a Master's degree in Real Estate with a focus on financial, industrial projects, business, costs, and value added from the Instituto Tecnológico de la Construcción CMIC in 2015-2016. Rafael Eduardo also obtained a Certificate in Business Direction Specialty from UNIDEP in 2013-2014. In 1995-1999, they graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Los Mochis with a degree in Ingeniero Electromecanico en instrumentacion in the field of Ingenieria Mecanica y Electrica. Additionally, in 1994-1996, they completed a diploma as a Computer Systems Technician from CECOF Centro de estudios computacionales del Fuerte.
