Erik Cummins

Erik Cummins has a wealth of experience in software engineering and related fields. Erik began their career in 2009 as a Mathematics Tutor at Sierra College. In 2012, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the California Smart Grid Center, where they designed components for an energy management system using LabVIEW. In 2013, they worked as an Electronics Engineering Intern at Caltrans, where they built a solar powered wireless mesh network. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at SunPower Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they developed the firmware for a robotic solar panel cleaning system, architected a wireless log retrieval and cloud processing engine, and designed and developed a map based web app for monitoring utility scale solar power plants. In 2017, they joined Facebook as a Software Engineer - Virtual Reality, and in 2018 they moved to advanced.farm as Technical Director Software Engineering and Software Engineer.

Erik Cummins attended California State University-Sacramento from 2010 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
