Geoffrey Mantel

Geoffrey Mantel has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, spanning from 1994 to 2023. In 1994, they worked as a Research Assistant at TRIUMF, where they worked with corks and leprechauns and hunted for an oxygen leak in the cryopumps. Geoffrey then moved to Crystal Decisions in 1998, where they worked as a Software Developer, doing a lot of C++ and porting Windows code to Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Linux. In 2005, they joined SAP BusinessObjects as a Release Engineer, where they worked to improve the builds and patches. In 2010, they moved to SAP, where they worked as a Software Development Manager, Senior Architect, and Senior Developer. In 2022, they joined Sanctuary AI as an AI Software Engineer, and in 2023, they moved to Sanctuary as a Machine Learning Operations Lead.

Geoffrey Mantel received their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Simon Fraser University in 1989-1994, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 1995-1998. Geoffrey is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Professional Computer Science with a focus in Visual Computing from Simon Fraser University, starting in 2021.
