David Edwards, M.D. Ph.D. FACC, serves as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Advanced Heart Care and holds dual roles as an Electrophysiologist and Cardiovascular Geneticist at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, where responsibilities include clinical evaluation and management of inherited cardiovascular diseases. Currently, David also acts as Research Medical Director for Arrhythmia and Genetics and Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Cardiovascular Care - Heart Arrhythmia Center, overseeing program development and physician leadership. Previous experience includes significant fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, involvement in atrial fibrillation research, and a postdoctoral research fellowship focused on arrhythmia-related mutations. David's career commenced with founding Hybrigen, Inc., a biotechnology company, before completing medical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center. David received a BA in Plan II from The University of Texas at Austin.
