Asim K.

Asim K. is a Senior Network Engineer at Advanced Logic Industries since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Goodwill Industries as an IT Infrastructure Architect / SR Engineer from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they created network diagrams, designed and implemented Enterprise LAN, WAN, and Data Centers, and negotiated with vendors and carriers for IT Infrastructure. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Sr Network & System Engineer at Dominion Air & Machinery, where they re-engineered the entire network, designed VPN networks, and implemented Hyper-V to reduce server costs. Asim K. also has experience as an IT Consultant at A&D from 2006 to 2010.

Asim K. began their education journey at William Flaming H.S from 2001 to 2003, where they completed their high school studies in General Studies. Later, they pursued higher education at Skyline College-Roanoke from 2013 to 2014, obtaining an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in IT Network Security. In 2014, Asim also earned the CompTia A+ certification. Moving forward, they enrolled at Western Governors University in 2016 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Information Technology Management, which is expected to be completed in 2022. Asim's additional certifications include the Cisco CCNA, obtained in March 2016, and the CCIE R&S Written certification, which they obtained from Cisco. Asim also holds the CompTia Net+ certification.
