Patrick Duggan

Technical Support Engineer (OSP) at Advanced Media Technologies, Inc.

Patrick Duggan has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1986. Patrick'scareer began as a Senior Field Engineer at General Instrument Corporation - Government Systems Division. Patrick then moved on to become a Systems Engineer at Continetial Cablevision, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of cable television network architectures. In 1996, they joined ADC Telecommunications as a Senior Systems Engineer (International), managing international cable television HFC projects for high visibility accounts in the Asia Pacific region. Patrick then worked at Artel Video Systems as a Senior Network Engineer, providing pre/post sales support of Gigabit Ethernet/DWDM transport systems for digital video (VOD) and voice over IP (VoIP) deployments. After that, they worked at Integrated Photonics Technology as a Senior Systems Engineer. Patrick then moved to Arcwave, Inc. as an Applications/Sales Engineer, providing pre/post sales technical support for Arcwave 5.3/5.8GHz wireless plant extension products. In 2007, they joined Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company, as a Staff Systems Engineer, responsible for the design of cable system master headends, hubs, HFC systems, and OSP RF actives and passives for domestic and international clients. In 2010, they became a Senior RF Engineer at Adtec Digital, where they were responsible for defining and developing system level requirements for DVB-S/S2 modulators/demodulators. In 2015, they joined ARRIS as a Staff Technical Support Engineer and a Staff Systems Engineer / Solution Architect (Joint Engineering Program) at nbn™ Australia, where they were a subject matter expert assigned to the National HFC Engineering staff. Patrick is currently employed at Advanced Media Technologies, Inc. as a Technical Support Engineer (OSP).

Patrick Duggan has a diverse educational background. Patrick attended Florida State College at Jacksonville from 1991-1995, where they earned an EET in Electronic Communication Systems. Prior to that, they completed the United States Navy Strategic Weapons Systems Program's Advanced Electronics Program - Submarine Navigation & Communications in 1978-1979. Patrick also attended Enlisted Submarine School New London CT, SCTE Broadband Distribution Specialist, NCTI where they earned a System Technician degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Fort Madison High School. Additionally, they hold certifications from the Federal Communication Commission for General Radiotelephone Operator and Ship Radar Endorsement.
