Brian Carriere

Brian Carriere is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in healthcare and emergency management. Currently serving as the Leader of Business Development and Manager of Quality, Organizational Development, and Project Management at Advanced Medical Solutions Inc. since June 2012, Brian has been instrumental in developing and implementing staff education programs for critical care transport teams in the remote Canadian Arctic. In June 2023, Brian took on the role of President at Search and Rescue Alberta, focusing on enhancing the services of volunteer search and rescue teams across the province. Previous positions include Manager of the St. Catharines General Emergency Department and Urgent Care Center at Niagara Health System, Manager of Learning Supports at Alberta Health Services, Clinical Education Specialist at STARS Air Rescue, and Flight Nurse at LifeGuard Alaska. Brian holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate diploma in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Royal Roads University, as well as a Master of Distance Education from Athabasca University and a diploma in Nursing from Mohawk College.
