Abderrahmane Bennis

Abderrahmane Bennis, Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, has extensive experience in the field of hardware engineering and digital design. Currently serving as an ASIC Digital Design Engineer at AMD since March 2020, Bennis previously held the position of Senior Hardware Engineer at Huawei Technologies from October 2016 to March 2025. Prior to that role, Bennis worked at IBM Canada Ltd as a Staff Hardware Engineer with a focus on Analytics Platform and the Netezza FPGA team, and also as a Hardware Engineer in the Hardware Acceleration Lab from October 2011 to September 2016. Additional experience includes positions as a Research Scientist at the University of Florida, a Visiting Research Assistant at the Information Science Institute, and a Research Assistant at Northeastern University. Bennis earned a Ph.D. from Northeastern University and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
