Dave Akeson

Dave Akeson is an experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD since July 2004. In this role, Dave manages RTL designers focused on developing a high-performance, low-power CPU core. Prior to AMD, Dave held the position of Senior Manager in Design Engineering at Sun Microsystems, Inc. and served as a Member of Technical Staff at Digital Equipment Corporation. Dave's academic background includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Computer option) from Northeastern University, along with a high school education from Boston Latin School.
