Laks Pappu currently serves as a Senior Fellow at AMD, leading architecture efforts for Data Center GPUs and Radeon products across the Navi4x and Navi5x generations, focusing on Chiplet-based and monolithic Graphics SoCs. Prior to this role, Laks Pappu worked at Intel Corporation from July 1997 to July 2022, where accomplishments included leading the architecture for Intel's first discrete client GPU products and overseeing multiple generations of discrete GPUs. Laks Pappu's responsibilities encompassed micro-architecture design, timing convergence, performance optimization, and silicon debug processes. Laks Pappu holds Master's degrees in Microelectronics from Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute and Computer Engineering from Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
