Michael Zhang

Michael Zhang currently serves as the VP of Data-Center GPU Engineering at AMD, a position held since April 2020. Previously, Michael held the role of Director of the Silicon Valley R&D Center at Neusoft from January 2015 to January 2020, focusing on Connected Vehicle Technologies and Big-data products. Michael's early career at AMD included a tenure as Sr. Director of Greater China Platforms, overseeing platform development and silicon validation for APU and GPU products from January 2011 to January 2015. Prior to AMD, Michael spent eight years at Intel Corporation, where roles included PRC General Manager of the PC Client Group, PRC Mobile Marketing Director, and General Manager of Emerging Market Platform Development. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an Executive MBA from the UW Foster School of Business.
