Tim Writer

Tim Writer is the Director of Software Development at AMD, where they lead a global team in developing open source GPU drivers. They previously held various roles at AMD, including Sr. Manager and Senior Member Technical Staff, and consulted as a contractor in Linux Core Engineering. Tim has an extensive background in Linux software development and has been a partner at several companies, including Starnix Care Inc. and FTL Solutions Inc. They earned a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, and Automation.
