Zahid Iqbal

Zahid Iqbal is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in graphics and video technologies. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at AMD since January 2022, Zahid previously held the position of Senior Graphics Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities included developing user mode media drivers for integrated GPUs and solutions for media acceleration. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Harmonic Inc. and Leading Design Engineer at Imagination Technologies UK, focusing on video algorithms and quality enhancement. Earlier in the career, Zahid was a Senior Lecturer, imparting knowledge in computer architecture and programming, and worked as an Embedded System Software Engineer and Design Engineer on various hardware and software projects. Zahid holds a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering from GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology and an MSc in Electronics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
