Ed Sanders is an experienced engineer with a robust background in firmware and software development across various industries. Currently serving as a Firmware Engineer at ADVANCED Motion Controls since April 2018, Ed previously held positions as a Software Engineer at Meggitt Safety Systems and Teradyne, where expertise in C++ for Automatic Test Equipment was demonstrated. Ed's career began at NCR Corporation, contributing to hardware development for the first desktop mainframe, followed by roles at Hughes Aircraft, Wangtek, Micropolis/Stream Logic, and Zebra Technologies, focusing on firmware development for SCSI devices and managing hardware and firmware projects. Our newest DigiFlex® Performance™ digital motion control servos includes positioning drive features as a more complete servo motor drive for AC and DC brushless servo motors, DC brush type servo motor, linear and rotary servo motors, closed loop vector motors, voice coils, inductive loads and actuators for precise motion control. Network connections for either centralized or distributed servo systems include: CANopen, RS232, RS485, EtherCAT, EPL, Ethernet PowerLink and SynqNet interfaces. We also have technology to support the following interfaces: DeviceNet, Ethernet TCP/IP, FireWire, Profibus, USB, Universal Serial Bus and Sercos.
