Donald Heaney

Donald Heaney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Donald started their career in 1997 as a Senior Process Development Engineer at 3M. Donald then moved on to Zimmer Biomet in 1998, where they worked as a Principal Engineer. In 2000, Heaney joined Penn State University, initially as a Senior Research Associate, and later became the Director of CISP. Alongside their university role, they also served as the President and CEO of Advanced Powder Products, Inc. starting from 2000.

Donald Heaney has a strong educational background in material science and engineering. Donald earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Material Science and Engineering from Penn State University, which they pursued from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Science from the same university between 1991 and 1993. Donald began their academic journey in engineering at Penn State University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics with honors and distinction from 1987 to 1991. Donald also attained a High School Diploma from North Hills High School in 1987.

In addition to their academic achievements, Donald Heaney has obtained certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. Donald is recognized as a Fellow ASM by ASM, although the exact year of their attainment is unspecified. Furthermore, they hold a Professional Engineer (PE) Metallurgy certification awarded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in February 2006.
