Brian Anderson

Brian Anderson, MD, is a prominent leader in the field of digital health and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Currently serving as President and CEO of the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) since March 2024, Anderson focuses on engaging stakeholders to promote best practices for AI application in healthcare. Other roles include Impact Fellow at UC Berkeley School of Public Health, Expert Working Group Member on AI Risk & Accountability at OECD.AI, and Editorial Board Member for Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health. Previous experience includes senior positions such as Senior Advisor for Clinical Trial Innovation at ARPA-H, Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School, and Chief Digital Health Physician at MITRE. A co-founder of both CHAI and the Vaccination Credential Initiative, Anderson has significantly contributed to public health initiatives, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Anthropology from Harvard University.
