Andries Harman-Haywood

Andries Harman-Haywood is an experienced data scientist and leader currently serving as Practice Lead: Data Scientist at AdvanceGuidance since August 2024. Prior roles include Chief Data Scientist at Asante Financial Services Group, where significant engagement occurred in the problem-solving process and the application of statistical modeling and machine learning in credit decisioning, and Manager of Data Science & Analytics – Africa at TransUnion, focused on analyzing big data for actionable insights. With a background that includes managerial and analytical roles at FNB South Africa and Deloitte, Andries has developed risk models, built client relationships, and contributed to strategic support across various analytics initiatives. An academic foundation includes an MSc in Mathematical Statistics and a BSc in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from the University of Pretoria.
