Ali N. Rashid has a diverse work experience in various research and development roles. From 2019, they have been working as the Technology Director for Resin Development R&D at AdvanSix. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of R&D at Red Devil, Inc. from 2016 to 2019. From 2013 to 2015, Ali worked as a Senior Development Scientist at Aristech Acrylics LLC, where they managed R&D and analytical capabilities and formulated strategies for acrylic polymer coatings. Ali N. also worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at UTMB from 2012 to 2013, where they designed microfluidic devices and developed polymer coating strategies for the profiler proteomics platform. From 2007 to 2012, Ali worked as a Senior Research Scientist at PPG Industries Packaging Milford, where they conducted research in epoxy polymer synthesis, coatings formulation, and hydrolysis-resistant polyester resins. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales from 2003 to 2005 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich from 2001 to 2003, where they focused on designing organic thin films and enhancing charge transport properties in thin film devices.
Ali N. Rashid completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Afterward, they pursued a Post-Doc at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zürich, specializing in Optics, Optoelectronics, and Organic Electronics.
