Richard Paterson

Richard Paterson is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in innovation and leadership roles across several companies. As the Founder and CEO of Advantage Platforms since February 2018, Richard has demonstrated entrepreneurial expertise. Prior positions include serving as VP of Innovation at Intellifi Corporation from September 2022 to May 2025, and VP of Technology Innovation and Transformation at Home Trust Company between September 2016 and February 2018. Richard’s career also includes significant roles at CMLS Financial Ltd., MCAP, Marlborough Stirling Canada, Cedar Group, FAME Computers, and Clerical Medical Investment Group, with a strong foundation in technology solutions and project management. Richard holds a BA (Hons) in Computer Science and Finance from the University of Stirling, completed in 1991.
