Richard Lawhead has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on quality, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, patient safety, risk management, infection control, and clinical operations. Richard is currently serving as the Director of Quality - Performance Improvement at Advantus Health Partners. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles at Texas Health Resources, where they were responsible for overseeing quality, regulatory compliance, patient safety, risk management, infection control, and performance improvement for several years. Before that, they served as the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at Methodist Health System. Richard also worked at CHRISTUS Health, where they held positions as the Regional Director of Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Infection Control, and Performance Improvement, as well as the Clinical Operations Manager. Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated a commitment to ensuring high-quality care and improving organizational performance in healthcare settings.

Richard Lawhead, FACHE, CPHQ, PMP, DASM, LSSBB is a doctoral candidate at Liberty University, pursuing a degree in Strategic Leadership. Richard holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arkansas, with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Additionally, Richard has a background in Cardiopulmonary Science from LSU Health Shreveport and Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. Furthermore, they have a nursing background from Panola College. Richard Lawhead has obtained various certifications including Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), among others.
