Jim Lane

Jim Lane has over 26 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Jim is currently Vice President Commercial (and Ireland General Manager) at Advarra since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Longboat Clinical for six years as Chief Business Officer. Jim was responsible for empowering those involved in clinical trials through training, communication, site & patient engagement, and real-time implementation guidance. Jim also worked at Firecrest Clinical, a division of ICON plc, where they served as Director of Business Development and later as Head of Operations. During their time at Firecrest, they played a key role in strategic relationship building and successfully transitioned the production process to a scalable and efficient approach. Before that, Jim worked as a Senior Project Manager at Symantec, where they managed outsourced service center operations in India. Jim also had a role as a Planning Manager at AST Computer, where they were responsible for production planning and played a part in the implementation of SAP ERP. Jim's career began as the Director of Product Development at Thomson NETg, where they led the development of the fastest-growing product line in the company. Overall, Jim Lane has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in business development, operations, and project management throughout their career.

From 1985 to 1989, Jim Lane attended the University of Limerick, where they pursued a degree in Business Studies. During their studies, they focused on various areas including Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, and French.
