Dean Furbush

Dean Furbush has extensive work experience in various leadership and executive roles. Dean currently serves as the Chair of Solutions Journalism Network since 2014, where they advise on leadership, business, technology, and finance issues. In 2022, Dean became the Cofounder and Founding Chair of Ukrainian Patriot. Prior to this, they were the SVP of Business Solutions at ADVATIX and the CEO of Kitchen 2.0.

Dean has a strong background in nonprofit organizations as well. Dean was the Founding Chair, President, and Director of PeerForward, a youth leadership organization supporting low-income students' access to college education. Dean also co-founded and served as the CEO of Kitchen to Kitchen, a startup ghost kitchen.

In the past, Dean held leadership positions in major companies. As the COO of FoodKick, a division of FreshDirect, they played a crucial role in doubling sales and turning EBITDA positive. Dean also served as the CEO of FreshDirect, where they brought significant improvements to customer success, margin, and technology integration.

Dean's earlier roles include Executive Chairman and CEO of Ingage, where they launched a revolutionary product and implemented a successful recruiting plan for a new CEO. Dean was also the Director of Gasco Energy, Inc.

Dean Furbush completed a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at the University of Washington from 1976 to 1981. Dean then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics at the University of Maryland from 1983 to 1991.
