Shawna Hanson Mba-Hm

Shawna Hanson has extensive experience in healthcare compliance and privacy roles. Most recently, they worked as the Regional Compliance Director at Adventist Health. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Privacy Officer at Stanford University. Shawna Hanson also held the position of CCO Chief Compliance Officer Northern California Group at Tenet Healthcare, where they provided executive-level leadership and oversaw compliance efforts for multiple hospitals and facilities. Before that, Shawna worked as the Director of Compliance and HIPAA Services at Daughters of Charity Health System and as a Senior Consultant/Manager Compliance and Privacy at Kaiser Permanente. Throughout their career, they have implemented new policies and procedures, conducted audits, and educated staff on compliance requirements.

Shawna Hanson holds an MBA in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, which they obtained in 2012 from AIU. Prior to their MBA, Shawna completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Organizational Communication, General from California State University-Sacramento from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained certifications in healthcare compliance and healthcare privacy compliance from HCCA.
