Maria Solovjew

Design Lead, Service Design & Impact at Adventure Club

Maria Solovjew has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Maria started their career in 2011 as a BA Thesis worker at Aalto Future Store, followed by a Project Worker position at Aalto University School of Art & Design. In 2012, Maria joined Aalto Design Factory as a Graphics and Service Designer and later took on the role of MA Thesis worker, where they developed methods to enhance distributed design collaboration. Maria also served as a ME310 Co-Instructor during this time.

In 2015, Maria had multiple roles at different companies. Maria worked as a Cooperation Associate/Designer at CERN, where they designed a workshop and event package for the IdeaSquare* experiment. Maria also served as a Guest Experience Coordinator at TEDxCERN. Additionally, Maria worked at Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH as an elop* Communications Designer, contributing to a multidisciplinary learning and teaching platform.

From 2015 to 2017, Maria worked as a UX & Service Designer at STUDIO BANANA. Maria was involved in various projects, such as rethinking and conceptualizing service offerings for a catering company, organizational change projects for global companies, and the creation of a virtual learning platform.

Most recently, Maria has been with Adventure Club since 2018. Maria started as a Senior Service & Impact Designer and was responsible for working on products and services that create positive impact on people, the environment, and society. In 2021, they took on the role of Design Lead, Impact & Services, where they lead service design, UX design, sales, and internal team development for different projects.

Overall, Maria Solovjew has a strong background in design, with experience in UX research, concept creation, prototyping, and detailed design. Maria has worked on diverse projects and has a passion for creating positive impact through their work.

Maria Solovjew completed their education as follows:

- From 2008 to 2011, they attended Aalto University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Industrial Design.

- From 2011 to 2015, they pursued their Master's Degree at Aalto University, specializing in Industrial and Strategic Design & International Design Business Management.
