Growing up alongside the lakes and forests of the Cascade Range in Washington State, She spent more time outside than in. Being surrounded by natural beauty fostered an early love of writing and inspired the decision to move to Missoula, Montana for a degree in English Literature. While in school, she was lucky enough to join a year-long study abroad program in Wales and explore the castles and ancient cities of Europe she had only ever read about.
