Ishanka Samaraweera

Ishanka Samaraweera has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Ishanka began their career in 2009 as an Associate Software Engineer at Felidae. Ishanka then worked as a Software Engineer at Sipro Technology from 2010 to 2011, followed by a role as a Software Engineer at Nindev Asia from 2011 to 2013.

In 2013, Ishanka joined Cyber LMJ as a Software Engineer before transitioning to a teaching role at Mayurapada Education Center in 2006. At the education center, they worked as a part-time Teacher and found satisfaction in working with students and releasing stress.

Ishanka's software engineering career continued in 2014, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at The Dots Global until 2017. Ishanka then joined Techorin Solutions (Pvt) Ltd as a Technical Lead from 2017 to 2019.

In 2018, Ishanka also worked as a Visiting Lecturer on a part-time basis at the Department of Technical Education under the Ministry of Education.

Currently, Ishanka holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Adventus.io, a company that focuses on transforming international education through a multi-sided discovery and booking platform. Ishanka has also taken on additional responsibilities at Adventus.io, including the roles of Delivery Manager and Technical Project Manager.

Throughout their career, Ishanka has gained extensive experience in software engineering, technical leadership, teaching, and project management.

Ishanka Samaraweera completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended St.Josheph girls' school - Nugegoda from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Scrum Master Certification Training from Master of Project Academy in June 2021 and Agile Crash Course - Agile Project Management, Agile Delivery from Udemy in May 2021. Ishanka also holds a certification in Business Communication Skills from the British Council. Ishanka is also a Sun Certified Java Programmer, although the specific details regarding the institution and time of obtaining this certification are not specified.
