Daniel Eikel

Director, Product Application and Customer Service at Advion Interchim Scientific

Daniel Eikel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Daniel started their career as a Scientist at the University of Giessen, where they conducted research on imaging MALDI-MS and taught chemistry classes. Daniel then moved to the University of Veterinary Medicine as a Post Doc, where their work focused on developing alternative assays to animal experiments and teaching graduate classes.

Afterward, Eikel worked at the National Institutes of Health as a Visiting Fellow, where they evaluated technologies for protein analysis and provided fee-for-service protein characterization in a proteomic core facility. Daniel also had teaching responsibilities in undergraduate programs.

Eikel then transitioned to the private sector and joined Advion Inc. as an Application Scientist. In this role, they supported the NanoMate TriVersa product line, conducted R&D for new mass spectrometry products, and provided technical support and training to customers. Eikel eventually rose to the position of Director of Product Application and Customer Service, overseeing customer service operations, managing a team of scientists and engineers, and handling the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Daniel Eikel completed their education in the field of Analytical Chemistry. Daniel obtained a Master of Science degree from The Philipp University of Marburg, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Continuing their academic journey, they pursued a PhD from Leibniz Universität Hannover from 2002 to 2005, specializing in Toxicology and Analytical Chemistry.
