Joshua Colyer

Vice President, Director Of Business Intelligence at Advisors Asset Management

Joshua Colyer has a diverse work experience ranging from law enforcement to asset management. Joshua started their career as a Loss Prevention Investigator at Foley's in 2004, where they played an active role in protecting company assets and ensuring the safety of employees and customers. In 2006, they became a Police Officer at the Parker Police Department, where they patrolled the jurisdiction, responded to calls for service, and apprehended criminals. Joshua then worked as a Loss Prevention Detective at The Great Indoors, where they proactively protected company assets and apprehended shoplifters.

In 2007, Joshua joined Advisors Asset Management, Inc. as an Operations Specialist II, handling various operational tasks until 2010. Joshua then transitioned to an Advisory Consultant role, providing advisory services to clients. In 2011, they became the Vice President - Asset Management Solutions, responsible for managing asset management solutions. In 2012, they assumed the role of Vice President, Director of Asset Management, overseeing asset management operations within the company. Most recently, in 2019, they were promoted to Vice President, Director of Business Intelligence, where they led the business intelligence function at Advisors Asset Management, Inc.

Joshua Colyer attended Douglas County High School from 1999 to 2003, where they studied General subjects. In 2006, they attended the Highlands Ranch Public Safety Training Institute for Law Enforcement but did not earn a degree.
