Chetan Desh

Chetan Desh's work experience includes a variety of roles in the technology industry. Chetan is currently working as the CTO at Advocat Technologies since January 2020. Prior to that, Chetan worked at Microsoft from August 2018 to March 2021 as a Principal Software Engineer, specializing in AI and Research. Before their time at Microsoft, they served as a Senior Software Developer Team Lead at Bonsai from February 2016 to August 2018.

Chetan also has experience as the Founder, CEO, and CTO of Holowear Ltd., where they led the development of smart wearables utilizing holographic display technologies and touchless gesture recognition. Chetan founded Holowear in September 2014 and worked until February 2016.

Earlier in their career, Chetan worked at Microsoft as a Program Manager II from March 2011 to November 2014. Chetan managed the development and integration of models and algorithms for ads selection, relevance, and click prediction into Bing and Yahoo's Ads serving stack. Prior to Microsoft, Chetan was a Technical Program Manager II at Amazon.com from August 2008 to March 2011, overseeing the development and deployment of tools and processes used at Amazon's fulfillment centers.

Chetan's entrepreneurial experience includes being the Founder and CEO of International Software Solutions LLC from August 2006 to August 2008. Chetan managed all company operations and conducted market research and product development in the video gaming industry. Additionally, Chetan worked as a Software Engineer at Raytheon Company from April 2005 to August 2006, leading the upgrade of the Situation Awareness Module for Tactical Control System Block 2 Version 4.

Furthermore, Chetan had a role as a Software Engineer at Computer Sciences Corporation from September 1998 to April 2005. Chetan served as the lead for various subsystems in the Virtual Marine Systems naval simulator and collaborated with military officers to establish requirements and produce training materials.

Chetan Desh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Georgia State University, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Chetan later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Management from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, attending from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Chetan Desh also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2014.
