Jeff Bahr

Chief Medical Group Officer at Advocate Health

Dr. Bahr is responsible for medical group operations, clinical service lines, physician recruitment, clinical quality and programming, as well as access. He is also accountable for Advocate Aurora Health’s academic programs.

He joined Aurora Health Care in 2002 and previously served as Vice President leading Aurora’s Primary Care Service Line. In that role, he was responsible for leading initiatives in growth, patient experience, clinical quality, care design and workforce planning for primary care clinicians. He assisted in developing and implementing tactics within the Primary Care Redesign initiative that impacted over 900 primary care physicians and advanced practice clinicians.

Dr. Bahr continues to practice internal medicine and is an ex officio member of the Governing Council of Advocate Aurora Health’s Medical Group. He is also a director on the board of the Wisconsin Hospital Association.

Prior to establishing his clinical practice in 2002, he was a Chief Resident and an Instructor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Bahr earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he also completed his internship and residency. He received his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in 2001 and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
