Rick Klein

Chief Business Development Officer at Advocate Health

Rick is responsible for business development, managed care contracting, growth, affiliations, and mergers & acquisitions.

He joined Aurora Health Care in 1986 and has served in a variety of leadership roles in the areas of business development, strategy and payor relations.

Previously at Aurora, Rick served as Senior Vice President and Vice President of Business Development, as well as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining Aurora, he was the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for the former Firstar Corp., Wisconsin’s largest bank. He is a past board member of the Georgetown Scholarship Program and of the AboutHealth network, a Wisconsin statewide collaboration to increase clinical quality, efficiency and improve consumer experience through shared practices.

Currently, Rick serves on the Board of Directors for a number of organizations within the Advocate Aurora portfolio, including WCIC Insurance Company (a joint venture with Anthem), Quartz, and Advocate Physician Partners.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s of business administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
