Karen Courtney

Karen Courtney serves as Corporate Counsel and National Commercial Manager at Advocus National Title Insurance Company since July 2005, overseeing the Commercial Title & Construction Escrow Department operations and ensuring alignment with company policies and values. Previous roles include Commercial Underwriting Attorney, where responsibilities involved managing commercial real estate transactions, title examination, and legal support for various stakeholders, as well as Managing Attorney for the Short Sale Coordination Department. Prior to joining Advocus, Karen worked as an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Smith, Rickert and Smith, focusing on residential and commercial real estate, intellectual property, and probate law. Karen holds a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a B.A. in English from the University of Central Arkansas.
