Joel Sherwin serves as VP Head of Legal at Galileo Financial Technologies since May 2023, focusing on legal support for SoFi’s technology businesses, including regulatory guidance across various financial sectors. Currently, Joel is also the Head of Legal at Plurall, an AI-driven financial application for Colombian entrepreneurs. Previous roles include Partner at Weinberg Gonser LLP, General Counsel at FloatMe, and advisory positions at Dave and Stride Bank, where contributions ranged from overseeing financial products to compliance advisement for fintech companies. Joel holds a J.D. from Pepperdine Law and a BA in Communications Studies from California State University, Northridge.
