Simon Van den Bossche

Simon Van den Bossche has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Simon began their career in 2018 as a Master Thesis student at imec, where they worked on a camera-based system for drafting detection while cycling. Simon then joined Barco as a Student R&D Engineer, performing performance measurements and QA setup for 3D displays. Simon also worked as a Student Waiter at Deltaworx, gaining experience in the catering industry.

In 2020, Simon joined TELETASK as a Student Software Developer, where they programmed and configured programmable logic controllers for an assembly line. Simon also worked as a Java Consultant at Interconnect Project on behalf of Inetum-Realdolmen, contributing to the development of a general-purpose business platform for smart energy and smart city applications.

At Inetum-Realdolmen, Simon held multiple roles, including Junior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Lead Developer (Technical Consultant). Simon gained experience in software development and took on a leadership role within the organization.

Simon also worked at VDAB as a Java Consultant, Technical Architect (on behalf of AE), Lead Developer, and Technical Consultant. Simon provided technical expertise and architectural solutions for various projects.

In addition to their main roles, Simon also volunteered at Dioniss and served as an Ambassador at ADMbelgium, where they attended events, shared information about the company, and provided input for future events.

Currently, Simon is working at AE as a Technical Consultant, applying their skills and knowledge in the field.

Simon Van den Bossche completed their education in a chronological order. Simon obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Economics from Ghent University from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Engineering Technology with a focus on image technology from 2018 to 2019 at Ghent University. Simon also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and ICT Engineering Technology from Ghent University, which they completed from 2015 to 2018. Simon'shigh school education was completed at Sint-Paulus Gent, where they studied ASO - Science and Mathematics (7h) from 2008 to 2015.

Simon Van den Bossche has also obtained several additional certifications. Simon is an Oracle Certified Professional, having completed the Java SE 8 Programmer II certification from Oracle in August 2021. Simon is also a Professional Scrum Master™ I, having obtained the certification from Scrum.org in March 2021. In addition, they hold an Oracle Certified Associate certification for Java SE 8 Programmer I, earned in February 2021. Simon has also completed an Online Marketing certification from Google in April 2017 and a Certificate in basic knowledge of business management from Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen in September 2016.
