René Imhof

René Imhof has over 20 years of professional experience in leading IT positions. Currently, they serve as the Head Group IT / CIO at Aebi Schmidt Holding AG since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Senior IT Advisor, providing advisory and consulting services in the IT domain, including transformation initiatives, ERP standardization programs, and organizational development of the IT organization. Before being an independent advisor, René held various roles at OC Oerlikon Corporation AG as the Head of Business Process Integration from September 2015 to April 2020. René has also served as the CIO of Lonza Group, VP of IT Services EMEA & Global Business Applications, and Head of Global Business Applications at Lonza: A Global Leader In Life Sciences. Additionally, they worked as an IBM System Programmer / Database Specialist at Schild AG and as a System Engineer at Data Center Luzern (DCL).

René Imhof obtained an eidg. dipl. Wirtschaftsinformatiker (business-oriented computer science) from AKAD Zürich in the years 1987 to 1991. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they attended the SAP Academy, where they earned a degree as a SAP Technical Consultant. In the period from 2011 to 2013, René Imhof pursued an Executive MBA with a specialization in International Management from Bern University of Applied Science. Within this program, they also completed CAS in Economics, CAS in International Business Development, and CAS in Project Management.
