Jaganathan Ulaganathan

Jaganathan Ulaganathan is a research scientist at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories since May 2014, specializing in materials degradation research, particularly in the area of stress corrosion cracking of Ni-Cr-Fe alloys. Prior to this role, Jaganathan worked as a freelance consultant from January 2010 to July 2014, providing technical expertise in electron backscatter diffraction applications. Jaganathan also served as a graduate research assistant at the University of Toronto from January 2009 to April 2014, focusing on characterizing elastic and plastic strains, analyzing stress corrosion cracking in various materials, and collaborating on crystal plasticity finite element modeling. Additional roles at the University of Toronto included academic tutor and laboratory assistant in the Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry department. Jaganathan earned a PhD and M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, along with a B.Tech in Chemical & Electrochemical Engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute.
