Armen Avanessian

Armen Avanessian, M.Sc., P.E., is an experienced geotechnical and tunneling project manager currently employed at AECOM since August 2018, where responsibilities include project management and senior engineering roles. Prior to AECOM, Armen held positions as a research assistant at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and as publication office staff at the New Mexico Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources. Earlier experience includes over a decade as a geotechnical and tunnel engineer at Passillo Consulting Engineers. Academically, Armen attained a Master of Science in Mineral Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, as well as a Master of Science in Mining Engineering from the Science & Research Branch of IAU and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the South Tehran Branch of IAU.
