Jonathan Gareau

Jonathan Gareau is an experienced Aquatic and Coastal Scientist currently employed at AECOM since October 2022, where responsibilities include conducting hydraulic modeling studies, assessing flood risks, and performing coastal erosion evaluations. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Université de Montréal, where wetland carbon content was characterized, and as a Cartographer at Vélo Québec, producing detailed maps for cycling routes. Jonathan also worked as an Environmental Technician with the Nature Conservancy of Canada, assessing aquatic connectivity in watersheds. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography with a specialization in Physical Geography from Université de Montréal, an ongoing exchange semester at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a Master of Science in Marine and Coastal Systems from Universidade do Algarve.
