Paul Butterfras

Paul Butterfras, AIA, NCARB, currently serves as the Architecture Studio Lead and Design Principal at AECOM, leading the Houston architectural studio while managing multiple projects and mentoring young architects. Previously, Paul held the role of Director of Commercial Architecture at Johnston, overseeing commercial project teams and coordinating resources. Earlier experience includes positions as Lead Architect at WSP USA, Project Executive/Architect at PBK, and Project Architect/Architectural Designer at Burrow Global, Inc. and Demar Ltd., focusing on industrial and commercial projects. Paul began their career as a Project Coordinator at Powers Brown Architecture and a Student Extern at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Paul earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Houston.
