Yunlong Liu, PhD, PE, FPE, CPEng, FIEAust, is a seasoned expert in fire safety and tunnel ventilation engineering, currently serving as Senior Project Manager and Tunnel Ventilation and Fire Life Safety Lead at NEOM since August 2023. Prior experience includes a tenure at HNTB Corporation in Seattle, where Yunlong contributed as a Senior Tunnel Ventilation and Fire Life Safety Engineer, focusing on significant projects such as the Seattle SR99 road tunnel ventilation and the Evergreen Light Rail Tunnel in Canada. Previous roles span various esteemed organizations, including Jensen Hughes, WSP, Exova Group, and CSIRO, where Yunlong developed critical fire safety solutions and conducted advanced research in fire science and engineering. An academic background includes a PhD in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University and postdoctoral research at the University of Hawaii.
