Ranya Habash

Ranya Habash, MD, is a prominent ophthalmologist and an assistant professor at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, recognized as the nation's best in ophthalmology. Currently serving as the Chair of Artificial Intelligence at the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery, Ranya co-founded METAMED, focusing on immersive surgical education and precision health. Ranya is also engaged with the FDA Digital Health Network of Experts, and serves as a faculty instructor for the Clinical Informatics Management Program at Stanford University School of Medicine. Previous roles include Medical Director for Technology Innovation at Everbridge, where Ranya contributed to critical communications, and Program Manager in Microsoft Cloud + AI for Health. Ranya's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from West Virginia University and a surgical residency in ophthalmology.
