Niknaz Aftahi

Niknaz Aftahi is an accomplished architecture professional with extensive experience in design and technology. As the Founder of aec+tech since November 2021, Aftahi has been instrumental in advancing architectural practices. In addition to this role, Aftahi serves on the Design Technology Committee at AIA San Francisco since May 2021. Previous experience includes leading design initiatives at ELS Architecture and Urban Design from April 2015 to July 2020 and contributing as a Junior Designer at Alexander Jermyn Architecture in 2014-2015. Aftahi also held academic roles at UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant and Instructor from 2013 to 2014 and gained early design experience as a researcher/designer at Teddy Cruz Studio and Herampey Consulting Engineers. Aftahi holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the Baha'i Institute for Higher Education.
