Bill Spijkerman

Bill joined AEGIS in 2020 as a Vice President in the firm's trading group, where he assists clients in devising and executing hedging strategies. He brings over 20 years of experience in risk management, derivatives, and physical trading for upstream, midstream, and consumer market participants advising both public and private oil and gas producers on their hedge portfolios and physical purchases.

Bill joined R^2 in 2007 and helped expand the business by assisting clients with developing effective and appropriate hedge strategies, business development activities and leading the firm's month-end and quarterly financial reporting services.

Prior to joining R^2, Bill served in management positions for several energy-related firms, most recently as Director of Natural Gas Marketing for Houston Energy Services Company where he managed all aspects of its natural gas business in the western United States including supply and risk management. Bill has also served in a management capacity for Xcel Energy (NYSE: XEL) and he holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Texas Tech University.

Outside of the office, Bill enjoys traveling, coaching youth athletics, volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
