David Paredes

David Paredes has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. David began their career in the United States Air Force as a Human Resources Specialist from 1993 to 2000. Following their military service, they worked at Aon as a Training Specialist from 2000 to 2003, where they conducted needs and tasks analyses and facilitated various courses. David then joined Unitrin Direct as an Instructional Design Manager from 2003 to 2010, where they managed a team of instructional designers and trainers and developed customized learning solutions. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Kemper as a Senior Manager, focusing on leadership development and professional learning. In their role, they designed learning paths, facilitated training, and executed the strategic plan for organizational learning and development. David is currently the Director of Learning and Development at AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc., a position they have held since 2018.

David Paredes holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Learning Technologies from Drexel University. David also obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Design from Penn State Great Valley and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, they have an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Information Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

In terms of certifications, David Paredes holds the following:

- SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM, obtained in July 2020

- Diversity & Inclusion in HR Certificate from Cornell University, obtained in June 2020

- Leadership Development and Succession Strategist Certification from the Human Capital Institute (HCI), obtained in July 2019

- David is also pursuing the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification from The Institutes, although the month and year of completion are unspecified.
