Alex Sevy has had a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2010, Alex worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. From 2011 to 2012, Alex served as a Health Extensionist with Peace Corps Ecuador, focusing on public health projects and educating local communities on disease prevention. Following this, Alex worked as a Research Specialist at Emory University, where they conducted research on coagulation factor VIII and developed a software pipeline for data analysis. In 2013, Alex joined Vanderbilt University as a PHD Candidate, studying protein design and applying computational methods. After obtaining their PhD in 2018, Alex joined Merck as an Associate Scientist. They then moved to Singular Genomics, where they held roles as a Scientist II and later as a Senior Scientist. Currently, Alex is the Director of Antibody Therapeutics at Aegis Life, Inc.
Alex Sevy attended Vanderbilt University from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Structural Biology. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2011, Alex attended The University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
